This position is both strategic and rigorous by nature. You will be required to think beyond routine bookkeeping and actively improve financial controls, compliance systems, and reporting accuracy. We expect the candidate to be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a strong “get it done” spirit. To succeed in this role, you must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with KRA requirements including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Corporate Tax, and all statutory filings
- Manage and remit all monthly deductions including NSSF, NHIF, Housing Levy, and other statutory obligations.
- Balance and reconcile customer accounts, supplier accounts, and bank statements.Negotiate and contract
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes
Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (K) or ACCA (Finalist or Completed preferred)
- Minimum 1–5 years of practical accounting experience
- Strong practical knowledge of KRA compliance including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Corporate Tax, and statutory remittances
- Proven ability to reconcile customer accounts, supplier accounts, and bank statements accurately
Nice to have
- Experience working with an ERP accounting system
- Experience in improving internal financial controls and system workflows
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical supplies, or distribution sector
